I believe x=-1.2 because
[tex]dstribute \: 0.875 \: to \: x \: and \: 0.5 \: then \: subtract \: your \: answer \: to \: 0.875 \times 0.5 \: from \: - 0.6125[/tex]
when you get that answer divided 0.875x by that answer
