How are blood types passed on to offspring? How does this relate to paternity issues

There are passed through alleles in the Mendelian way of genetics. Each parent gives one allele to the offspring through the gametes. An example below shows that if a mother is AB and the father is OO, then offspring will be AO or BO in 50:50 percentages.
