Derek’s Great Dane puppy is growing quickly. He gains an average of 40 ounces per week. At this rate, about how many pounds will he gain in 1 year?

A year is about 52 weeks.
So in a week, 40 ounces is gained.
In 52 weeks, you should multiply 40 by 52.
40 x 52 = 2080 ounces.
There are 16 ounces to a pound
2080 divide by 16 = 130 pounds.
