Solve the two equations. In the first equation, move the numbers to one side, so x>=1/3-5/2=-13/6, after making the denominator equal. In the second equation, so the same thing, x<-29/6-2=-41/6. So -13/6<=x<=-41/6. If you are given some choices, you can decide which of them fall in this domain.
