Write an equation of a line that is parallel to -2x+y=1 and goes through the point (1,-1).

since it is parallel it has the same slope
m1=m2
It passes through (1,-1) using the point slope formula
(y-y1)=m(x-x1)
y-(-1)=-2(x-1)
