Assuming that the x+8 are both under the denominator and not (6/x)+8:

Replace x in the f(x) with g(x).
f(x)=6/(7/8x + 8)

Simpify.
f(x)=[tex]\frac{6}{ \frac{7x+64}{8} } [/tex]
f(x)=[tex] \frac{48}{7x+64} [/tex]
