(-2,-4)(6,2)
slope = (2 - (-4) / (6 - (-2) = (2 + 4) / (6 + 2) = 6/8 = 3/4

y = mx + b
slope(m) = 3/4
use either of ur points...(6,2)...x = 6 and y = 2
now sub and find b, the y int
2 = 3/4(6) + b
2 = 9/2 + b
2 - 9/2 = b
4/2 - 9/2 = b
-5/2 = b

so ur equation is : y = 3/4x - 5/2
