I think false because as much as I would like to say, i agree. it sounds quiet unlikely to me for some reason.
Actually, it is true that black codes sought to maintain white supremacy because the white southern politicians used laws to take away blacks' rights in order to continue to have control over the blacks and be the superior race in America.
