in order to divide, we need to write the mixed number as an improper fraction.

1 1/2 = 3/2   so let's divide  3/2 ÷ 3/4 = 3/2 × 4/3
            now we just multiply straight across     3 x 4 / 2 x 3
                                                                          12 / 6
                                  reduce..........                    2
