Maybe you can make a pie chart? That helps a lot. Make 10 slices in a circle and color 3 in. Then make a circle with 2 slices and color one in. Then figure out which one is more colored in. The one that is most colored in is the bigger fraction. I know, sorry I'm not a math professor but this is just a really easy way for simple fractions.
