Nan has 3/8 pound of blueberries. if she put equal portions of blueberries into 6 bags, how many pounds of blueberries are in each bag?

In order to find how many pounds are in each bag, we just need to divide the total amount of blueberries by the number of bags.

So we have:

[tex]\frac{\frac{3}{8}}{6}=\frac{3}{8}\cdot\frac{1}{6}=\frac{3}{48}=\frac{1}{16}[/tex]

So in each bag there are 1/16 pounds of blueberry.
