to solve this question i'll draw the line and indicae the midpoint

since PR is the midpoint of the line,

PQ = QR

[tex]\begin{gathered} pq=qr \\ 3x+14=7x-10 \\ \end{gathered}[/tex]

collect like terms and solve for x

[tex]\begin{gathered} 14+10=7x-3x \\ 4x=24 \\ x=\frac{24}{4} \\ x=6 \end{gathered}[/tex]
