Is z(x) = 1 + 6x^2 + 4x a quadratic function? I don't believe it's linear or constant, just wanted to make sure.

Given function is

[tex]z(x)=1+6x^2+4x[/tex]

In the given function, the maximum power of x is 2 and it is of the form

[tex]ax^2+bx+c[/tex]

Therefore, it is a quadratic function.
