Write the equation of this line in point-slope form: The line passes through (−2,22) and (4,-8).

step 1

Find the slope of the line

m=(-8-22)/(4+2)

m=-30/6

m=-5

step 2

Find the equation in point slope form

y-y1=m(x-x1)

substitute the given values

we have

m=-6

(x1,y1)=(4,-8)

substitute

y+8=-6(x-4)
