The distance he would travel in 2 hours if he drove 156 miles in 3 hours is 104 miles.

Ratio

  • Number of miles driven in 3 hours = 156 miles

Find how far he would he travel in 2 hours

Number of miles : Time taken

156 : 3 = x : 2

156/3 = x/2

cross product

156 × 2 = 3 × x

312 = 3x

divide both sides by 3

x = 312 / 3

x = 104 miles

Therefore, the distance he would travel in 2 hours if he drove 156 miles in 3 hours is 104 miles.
