Hey there!


(14x - 5x) + 6

= 14x - 5x + 6

COMBINE the LIKE TERMS

= (14x - 5x) + (6)

= 14x - 5x + 6

= 9x + 6


So, basically you had to combine the like terms to get back to the original equation (6 + 9x)
