Rewrite the expression using the base only once.

7^4 * 7^(-8) * 7

= 7^4 * 7^(-8) * 7^1

= 7^[ 4 + (-8) + 1 ]

= 7^[ 4 - 8 + 1 ]

= 7^(-3) <----- this is the answer.
