Infer what the student's original claim might have been and what counterclaim the teacher made in

"This test isn't fair because some of the questions because we never learnt this specific stuff in class," the student might have said at first. It's possible that the teacher responded "Once you leave school, it is your responsibility to continue studying and do your own research about the topic. Everybody got different grades on the quiz and thats based of how hard you study."
