quizlet is a lifesaver, you put in key facts and it tests you on them in somewhat engaging ways
reading and highlighting don’t really help - try writing key facts down over and over again
summarise everything into as little words as possible and try to remember that off by heart
have stuff on your phone (like write things in your notes) so you can quickly look at it whenever you’re bored
