 y = 5x - 7

Step-by-step explanation:

(x₁ , y₁) = ( 2 , 3)    & (x₂ , y₂) = (-1 , -12)

Slope = [tex]\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}[/tex]

         [tex]=\frac{-12-2}{-1-2}\\\\=\frac{-15}{-3}\\\\=5[/tex]

m = 5 & (x₁ , y₁) = ( 2 , 3)

Equation of the line:  y - y₁ = m(x -x₁)

y - 3 = 5(x - 2)

y - 3 =5x - 2*5

y - 3 = 5x - 10

    y = 5x - 10 + 3

   y = 5x - 7
