The vertex form of the function given is [tex]y = (x + 2)^2 + 3[/tex]

The vertex form of a quadtratic function is in the form [tex]y = (x - h)^2 +k[/tex]
Start by completing the square of the quadtratic function which results to
[tex]y = (x^2 +4x +4) +7 -4[/tex]
then simplifying the equation in the vertex form: [tex]y = (x+2)^2 + 3[/tex]
