Answer:

y = x^2 - 2x + 3

The vertex has x component which is the solution of equation:

     y' = 0

<=>2x - 2 = 0

<=> x = 1

Substitute x = 1 back into original equation y = x^2 - 2x + 3, then

y = 1^2 - 2*1 + 3 = 1 - 2 + 3 = 2

=> Vertex(1, 2)
