What is the relationship between Mansa Musa and Mecca?

Mansa Musa is also known as the richest man ever lived in our human history. Well the story of Mansa Musa and Mecca went like this. Mansa Musa was a devoted Muslim and in the Muslims' pillars all Muslims must go on a haji to Mecca. So Mansa Musa went on a pilgrimage to Mecca giving out most of his gold he bought on the way too.
