Take the lengths as 2x and 3x.
As per the question,
2x + 3x = 45
5x = 45
So, x = 45/5 = 9
To find the length of 1st segment : 2x = 2 * 9 = 18
And the length of the 2nd segment: 3x = 3 * 9 = 27

Hope this helps! :)
