Steps to solve:

[tex]9^x=4[/tex]

~Take log of both sides

[tex]log(9^x)=log(4)[/tex]

[tex]x*(log(9))=log(4)[/tex]

[tex]x = \frac{log(4)}{log(9)}[/tex]

[tex]x = 0.63093[/tex]

~Round to the nearest thousandth

0.63093 → 0.631

Best of Luck!
