David Lance Goines uses satire to express his views of horrors of war. It creates a sense of suspense which makes it  thrilling. His aggressivearguments give us a sense of the brutality of the war.
Rukeyser's poem takes a passive approach to reveal the aftermath of war but Goines poem takes a violent approach.
