Now if Earth's core was completely solid we would lose the magnetic field and our planet would grow cold and dead. Without this magnetic field, solar wind would strip away the atmosphere. Solar and cosmic particles will penetrate deeper causing irradiation and enormous damage to life. There would be no life on Earth.
