Answer:

Area of the sector=[tex]40.69 cm^2[/tex]

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a sector of a circle= [tex]\frac{\beta }{360} *\pi *r^2[/tex]

As,  [tex]\beta =130[/tex]°

Diameter=7.2 cm

Radius= 7.2/2= 3.6 cm

[tex]\pi =\frac{22}{7}=3.14[/tex]

Putting the values in the formula:

Area:

                  [tex]\frac{130}{360}*3.14*3.6*3.6\\\\=\frac{13}{36}*3.14* 12.96\\\\=\frac{13}{36}* 40.69\\\\=0.36*40.69\\\\=40.69cm^2[/tex]

Area of the sector=[tex]40.69 cm^2[/tex]
