The three main parts of the brain are the cerebrum (located in the front of the skull and containing the frontal lobes which control complex thought), the cerebellum (located in the upper back of the skull and containing the lobes that control regular muscle activity), and the medulla (located at the base of the brain and controlling involuntary muscle activity).
