First we are going to simplify both sides from the equation:
3(k−6)=15
(3)(k)+(3)(−6)=15
3k+−18=15
3k−18=15
Second thing to do is add 18 to both of the sides:
3k−18+18=15+18
3k=33
Lastly divide both sides by 3:
3k/3=33/3
Your answer is:
k=11
I hope this helps you! :)

k=11 because when you subtract 11 by 6 it equals to 5 so 3(5)=15
