The primary somatosensory cortex receives the informations from the thalamocortical projections from the sensory input fields. Sensory stimuli in this case are tactile stimuli. Tactile stimuli are orderly arranged from the toe (at the top of the cerebral hemisphere) to mouth (at the bottom).
