If f(x)= 5x-3 what is f(-4)

plug the -4 into equation

f(-4) = 5(-4) -3

multiply 5•-4= -20

then subtract -20-3

when you have two negatives you add

= -23
[tex]f ( - 4) = 5( - 4) - 3 = - 23[/tex]
